The Ragdoll is a gentle and calm cat. It has a tendency to relax completely when lifted and this has given it it's name - Ragdoll. The Ragdoll matures slowly and will grow until 3-4 years of age. It is a relatively large cat with a long, muscular body, broad neck, medium high legs with rounded paws with tufts. The tail is bushy. The head is broad with a modified wedge shape, well developed cheeks and a soft profile curve. The big oval eyes are blue and the ears, set widely apart are slightly tilted forward, of medium size and with rounded tops. The fur is silky of medium lenght lying close to the body, slightly swaying when the cat moves. The Ragdoll is a pointed cat with blue eyes. It comes in seal, blue, lilac, choclate or red including tortie. It can be tabby. There are three different patterns; colourpoint (non white), mitted (white mittens on front legs, white stockings on hind legs, white chin) and bi-colour (with an inverted V in the face, white stomach, preferrably white legs and sometimes some white markings on the back)
